Massapé Rio Hostel is an option for those travelers interested in the history and culture of Rio (Municipal Theater, museums, bars and restaurants) and architectural (Lapa Aqueduto and the neighborhood of Santa Teresa) in the wonderful city downtown.
We are located just a few minutes walk from bus stops and Carioca Metro Station, Cinelândia and central Brazil which provides travelers with easy access to different parts of the city.
Flamengo beach, Maracanã stadium, Sambódromo and Cristo Redentor can also be easily accessed from our Hostel.
Sambódromo

Located on a wall more than 180 meters wide and 17 meters high, the painting called "Peace among peoples" is a symbol of representation to the continents of the earth, alluding to the Olympic rings. The Royal Portuguese Library
Being one of the oldest buildings in the city, the Royal Portuguese Reading Office is a real invitation to immerse the history and culture of our country. With more than 350 thousand volumes of national and foreign literature, the library is the place with the largest collection of Portuguese books outside Portugal. Its classic and traditional decor are also one of the characteristics of the place. Visiting hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and its location is in the City Center.
